I attended West Virginia Business College in Morgantown and worked in the banking industry for several years before my marriage to a young orthodontic graduate named Dr. Stumbo 35 years ago.
I am always amazed at how our practice has grown over the years, and the good relationships we have always had with our patients and their families. We are now treating the sons and daughters of patients that were just “kids” when we began our practice. I think this is due to the degree of personal attention that my husband puts into every aspect of his practice: patient diagnostics and treatment, staff selection and interactions, and continuing his education in new techniques and applications. I love being around the ladies that work here in the office.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy going for long walks, participating in Formula I races, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
Treatment Coordinator/Office Coordinator
I joined Dr. Stumbo’s team in 1996 and came with five years of orthodontic assisting experience and one year of general dentistry experience. I am also a member of the AAO's Orthodontic Staff Club. I love to help patients and parents realize their goal of having a great healthy smile. For me, the more complicated cases are the most exciting. I love to see the transformation in our patient's self confidence and personality as their teeth improve. I love being able to offer our patients the newest in orthodontic treatments. Dr. Stumbo is constantly learning and implementing new technologies because he knows a great smile never goes out of style.
I love meeting new people, teenagers are my favorite! They add a little spice to life and question everything, which I love!
In my free time I love camping with my wonderful husband of 35 years and my fur babies. I also spend lots of time with my grown children and grandchildren. Life is full!
Appointment Coordinator/ Children’s Dental Health Representative/ Practice Marketing
I have a background in the dental world; having graduated from WVU-P with a certificate in dental assisting in 1976. I was very happy to become a part of Dr. Stumbo's staff in 2003. I enjoy my work and love seeing the children and their beautiful smiles. I also enjoy the part of my job that allows me to visit the schools and do presentations during Children’s Dental Health Month. Our team is like one big family. We truly care about each other in a very personal way.
I am a proud mom of three children, Noah, Kaitlin, and Maddie. Meme to my beautiful grandson’s Caylor, Harrison, and Hudson. I also have a spoiled Shi-Tzu named Carlie. I enjoy walking and reading on my Kindle and am active at my church, for Relay for Life, and most importantly spoiling my beautiful grandsons.
Appointment Coordinator/Insurance Coordinator
I joined our team in January 2017. Prior to joining the Stumbo family, I attended Washington State Community College for 3 years. I also have a 10 year background in retail management and customer service.
Dr. Stumbo and his team are so nice, fun, and very welcoming! The people I work with make this practice great! Aside from scheduling appointments and being one of the first faces our patients see, I also coordinate insurance claims and payments, as well as help coordinate our social media sites.
I am a proud mama to a fun loving, rotten 7 year old, Gabriel. In my free time, I love to be outdoors. Hiking, camping, kayaking, and all that entails. I also enjoy reading and listening to music, classic rock is my favorite.
Orthodontic Laboratory Technician
I have worked in the field of dentistry for over 28 years and have spent the last 26 years with Dr. Stumbo. I received my training at Great Lakes Orthodontic Laboratory in New York, and learned to fabricate all types of orthodontic appliances. I love being able to be creative by fabricating different appliances and creating designs and colors to make our patients happy and excited to wear them. Working with my hands is a very enjoyable aspect of my job. I love working with Dr. Stumbo because we share a common goal: getting to see our patients happy and smiling at the end of treatment.
I like making jewelry, soap and all kinds of crafts in my spare time. I have three great kids, Broc, Bryce, and Brittany, who I love spending time with. I also enjoy bicycling, taking care of all my fur babies, traveling and being outdoors.
I joined the Stumbo team March 2018 and am so happy to be back doing what I love. I have 8 years of previous orthodontic experience, and to be honest, orthodontics is more of a hobby than a job to me.
During my time off, I relax with my husband Brad, daughter Anna and my 4 dogs. I like to hike, go antiquing, watch college and professional sports, and just hang out with family and friends.
I am very happy to be part of our patient's journey to a great smile, and, to be a part of this great staff!!
I have been in the dental field for 12 years receiving my course training and clinical training in Virginia Beach before I started working with Dr. Stumbo. After 8 years, I moved back to my home state, West Virginia in 2013. In that same year, I had the pleasure of joining Dr. Stumbo’s orthodontic team and I genuinely love my job, the team, and the doctor I work for. Working with this staff has been a wonderful experience and I love the family atmosphere.
I love how our patients feel at home when they come in for their appointments, and how they look forward to their next appointment with us. Being an orthodontic technician is truly fulfilling as you are able to see the transformation of patients from shy and timid into a confident beautiful smile. Aside from working on our patients, I also coordinate our entire inventory here within the office. Whether it’s ordering the latest colors for our patients or brackets, I’m your go-to girl!
Any outdoor activities have always been my favorite thing to do on my free time, and of course being a mother! Getting the kids outside to enjoy things like kayaking, fishing, camping and hiking fill my heart with joy. We try to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible together on our free time.
I received my Dental Assistant Certification in 2015 through Penn Foster. In December 2016, I joined the Stumbo family as they welcomed me with open arms. One month prior to joining the team, I traveled to Bolivia, South America for a mission trip and assisted three Bolivian Dentists for ten days.
I have always loved working with children and teens, so it is very rewarding getting to be a part of their smile transformation. I love having one on one interaction with our patients and getting to know each and every one of them. I love being a part of the Stumbo team, I think of my coworkers more as family. Aside from working on patients, I also coordinate our office social media sites. I genuinely love my job, and feel right at home at work every day.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy surrounding myself with friends and family, vacationing, and being outdoors. I love volunteering at my church, interacting with the preschoolers, and being apart of the ministry team. If you know me, you also know that I love being “Aunt Meggy,” to my niece and nephew. I am blessed!
I joined Dr. Stumbo’s team in October 1995. I left for five years to stay at home with my daughter, Nicole, and returned shortly after. I have 22 years of experience working here at the office.
I love the atmosphere this office has and the positive attitudes each employee has here. I mostly enjoy the one on one interaction with our patients and being apart of their great smiles.
In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, walking and kayaking and spend time with my friends and family. I also love to go on cruises and vacation where it’s warm and sunny!
Orthodontic Technician/Laboratory Tech
I first fell in love with Stumbo Orthodontics when I had braces as a teenager. I was thrilled to be in the training program and get my WV Board of Dental Examiners Extended Duties Certificate. I graduated from Parkersburg Christian School and after graduation, also worked at the daycare our church started.
I am very proud to be a firefighter on the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department. I feel blessed to be able to help my community by fighting fires, rescuing victims from car accidents, and helping our medical responders. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out at the fire station, outdoor activities, and mostly, I enjoy my family and fiance Aaron. My mom has been my biggest role model in life; Even with a chronic illness, she never gives up.
